1st. Day SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
Arrival to Santiago and transfer on your own to the hotel/hostel. Free time. Accommodation.
2nd. Day SANTIAGO-NEGREIRA (20,6 km / 5 hrs approx. / difficulty level: easy)
You will have to deliver your luggage at the lobby of your hotel/hostel before 08:00 hrs. Breakfast. We are leaving Santiago. Behind us is the Plaza del Obradoiro and the imposing cathedral. We hike towards Negreira. This first stage has a simple and comfortable landscape. The only section that is a little highlighting is the climb to Mar de Ovellas. We cross the Tambre River through Ponte Maceira and arrive in Negreira. Accommodation.
3rd. Day NEGREIRA-OLVEIROA (33,6 km / 8 hrs approx. / difficulty level: medium)
You will have to deliver your luggage at the lobby of your hotel/hostel before 08:00 hrs. Breakfast. A difficult stage in terms of length, but which is rewarded by the impressive landscapes. On this day, we completely move away from the urban and cobbled worlds to enter imposing oak and chestnut forests. You have to face climbs like Monte Aro, but up there you have a fantastic view of the Fervenza reservoir, into which the Flux Xallas flows. Accommodation in Olveiroa.
4th. Day OLVEIROA-CEE (19,3 km /4 hrs approx. / difficulty level: medium)
You will have to deliver your luggage at the lobby of your hotel/hostel before 08:00 hrs. Breakfast. The last stage in the interior. The river Xallas continues to accompany us on the way to Hospital. There follows the fork that shows the way to Muxía for those who want to do this variant. In this case, however, we follow the Cee direction. We pass the Cruceiro Marco de Couto, the Hermitage of Nuestra Señora das Neves and the chapel of San Pedro Mártir until we reach Cruceiro da Armada, where we see the sea for the first time. Here begins a steep descent to our destination today, Cee. Accommodation.
5th. Day CEE-FISTERRA (12,9 km / 3 hrs approx. / difficulty level: easy)
You will have to deliver your luggage at the lobby of your hotel/hostel before 08:00 hrs. Breakfast. We start this day towards Corcubión, a charming fishing village that has been declared a historical art site. The Atlantic accompanies us on this quiet walk to Cape Fisterra, our long-awaited destination along the entire Camino. If time permits, we can enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets at the "end of the world". Accommodation in Fisterra.
6th. Day FISTERRA-LIRES (15,6 km / 4 hrs approx. / difficulty level: easy)
You will have to deliver your luggage at the lobby of your hotel/hostel before 08:00 hrs. Breakfast. We now have to undo what we walked towards Langosteira beach and hike towards San Martiño de Duio. As soon as we have passed this village, we find an ascent that leads us to Buxán, the intermediate point of our stage today. We will drive through small villages until we reach Lires. Accommodation.
7th. Day LIRES-MUXIA (14,3 km / 3 hrs approx. / difficulty level: medium)
You will have to deliver your luggage at the lobby of your hotel/hostel before 08:00 hrs. Breakfast. With the Atlantic, which accompanies us, this last section begins strongly with 9 kilometers uphill to the Facho de Lourido. Once at the top, we will enjoy the impressive view. The good thing about the climb is that you have to go down, and we will. We will descend to Xurarantes to finally reach Muxia. In Muxía, we cannot miss the famous sanctuary of Virxe da Barca.
